KAO Park project – North West London To Hatfield

This project involved installation of telecommunications primary duct over a distance of 50.2 km. Cable pulling, turning and jointing chambers were installed along the route for cable installation and maintenance purposes. This 4-month long project was executed by 2 of our team members for our client, SSE.

Since 2012

MBS construction was responsible for the excavation and installation of approximately 50.2 kms of 1W 110mm OD uPVC telecommunications primary duct in the public highway whether footway, carriageway or verge and via the tow path of the Paddington Arm, Grand Union Canal, for the provision of a fibre optic cable.

The route was made for the provision and installation of an 864F fibre-optic cable contained within primary duct. Cable pulling, turning and jointing chambers were installed along the route for cable installation and maintenance purposes at a maximum 485m spacing on the Public Highway and Canal towpaths. Furthermore, joint Bays were constructed every 1900m.
